Can Hidden Gauginos Form Condensates?
نویسنده
چکیده
Supersymmetry breaking may be linked to the formation of gaugino condensates in a hidden sector. In this work, the process of formation of the condensate is examined in a cosmological context, using an effective field theory of the gaugino bilinear which provides a reasonable interpolation between the highand low-temperature phases. The implementation of anomaly requirements generates a large potential barrier between the zero-condensate configuration and that of the true (SUSY-breaking) vacuum. As a consequence, the transition to bubbles of true vacuum may be subject to an enormous exponential suppression. This leads to the same difficulties with inhomogeneity of the universe which occurred in the original inflationary scenarios.

Cosmic Rays from Leptophilic Dark Matter Decay via Kinetic Mixing
If interpreted in terms of decaying dark matter, the steep rise in the positron fraction of cosmic rays above 10GeV, as observed by the PAMELA experiment, suggests an underlying production mechanism that favors leptonic channels. We consider a scenario where a portion of the dark matter is made of the gauginos of an unbroken hidden-sector U(1)X , which interact with the visible sector only thro...

We consider supersymmetry breaking models in which the MSSM is extended to include an additional chiral adjoint field for each gauge group with which the the MSSM gauginos acquire Dirac masses. We investigate a framework in which the Standard Model gauge fields propagate in the bulk of a warped extra dimension while quarks and leptons are localized on the ultraviolet brane. The adjoint fields a...
متن کاملOn Measuring Split-SUSY Gaugino Masses at the LHC
In Split-SUSY models, where the only non-Standard Model states produceable at the LHC consist of a gluino plus neutralinos and charginos (EW gauginos), it is often stated that only mass differences among these latter are measureable. The present work demonstrates that, using a Hidden Threshold technique, full reconstruction of EW gaugino masses is possible. Email: [email protected]
متن کامل95 Slac - Pub - 95 - 6934 Supersymmetry in the Very Early Universe ∗
Supersymmetric flat directions can have a number of important consequences in the very early universe. Depending on the form of the SUSY breaking potential arising from the finite energy density at early times, coherent production of scalar condensates can result along such directions. This leads a cosmological disaster for Polonyi type flat directions with only Planck suppressed couplings, but...
